A duvet cover with a hidden zipper closes around your insert, while internal corner ties help keep matching corners together when you make the bed.
Those are useful details to check when choosing bedding for a home shared with pets. A dog stretching out across the duvet or a cat settling into a folded corner can leave you straightening the bed more often. The closure, ties, and fit all play different roles. Start with the measurements of the insert you already own, then look at how the cover attaches and what pieces come in the set.
What the zipper and corner ties do
The zipper closes the opening used to put the insert inside the cover. A hidden zipper keeps that closure less visible in the finished bedding. Internal corner ties serve a separate purpose: they attach to compatible loops on your insert to help keep the corners aligned.
The Furify Duvet Cover Set includes one duvet cover with a hidden zipper and internal corner ties, plus two pillow shams. The ties are features of the duvet cover. A duvet insert is not included, so check the insert you plan to use before ordering.
These features do not make bedding claw-proof or guarantee that an insert will never move. You may still need to straighten the layers after sleeping, washing, or sharing the bed with a pet.
Match the cover to your insert
Lay your insert flat and measure its width and length. Compare both measurements with the duvet cover dimensions in the size guide. A Queen or King label is a starting point, but measurements are more useful when your existing insert and new cover come from different brands.
Next, inspect the insert's corners for attachment loops. Corner ties need a compatible attachment point to do their job. If your insert has no loops, check its manufacturer's guidance rather than assuming every tie can be fastened. Avoid forcing a tie through the insert's fabric.
The fitted sheet is a separate sizing decision. Match it to your mattress, including its depth. Our Queen or King bedding guide for a bed shared with a dog explains why mattress and duvet measurements should be checked separately.
Put the cover on without twisting the insert
Work on a clear, flat surface. Open the cover, identify its corners, and line up the corresponding corners of the insert. Fasten the available ties to the insert's matching loops without pulling the fabric tight.
Bring the cover over the insert, then spread the layers out before closing the zipper. Check that the fabric and filling are clear of the zipper path. If the zipper resists, stop and check for trapped fabric instead of forcing it.
Finally, check each corner and smooth the middle. If one end looks empty or the filling sits in a lump, reopen the cover and check the alignment. Ties can help hold the corners together, but they cannot correct a substantial size mismatch.
Choose the pieces your bed needs
If you only need the duvet layer, the duvet cover set includes the cover and two pillow shams. If your duvet cover already suits your bed, the Furify Sheet Set contains a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases. Its fitted sheet has 18-inch pockets; compare that detail with your mattress depth.
The Furify Sheet and Duvet Cover Bundle combines those pieces: fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover, two pillowcases, and two pillow shams. The duvet insert is not included. Queen and King options are listed on the product pages, where you can check current colors and availability.
Follow the care instructions
Furify bedding is made from 100% viscose made from bamboo with a 300 thread count. Machine wash cold with a mild detergent, tumble dry low, and do not bleach. Wash before first use.
Remove the insert before washing the cover and follow the insert's own care label separately. When putting the cover back on, check the corner attachments again. For more detail, read our bamboo viscose bedding care guide.
Common questions
Does the Furify duvet cover set include an insert?
No. It includes one duvet cover and two pillow shams. Use a suitably sized insert of your own.
Will corner ties stop all movement?
No. They help keep corresponding corners together when attached to compatible loops. Fit and regular straightening still matter.
Do the pillow shams have internal corner ties?
The internal ties described here belong to the duvet cover and attach to the duvet insert. They are not listed as a feature of the pillow shams.
