Read the label and prepare the load
Furify bedding is made from 100% viscose made from bamboo with a 300 thread count. Start with the care directions on your set rather than borrowing the settings you use for towels, a pet blanket or an older cotton duvet. Items that look similar may have different care requirements.
Remove the duvet insert before washing its cover. Check the insert, throws and mattress protector separately; the bedding cover's directions do not apply automatically to those items. Empty pockets if other laundry is included, and separate anything with exposed hooks or fasteners that could catch on the bedding.
Before the first use, wash the new bedding according to its label. Keep a photo of the label if several people in your household share laundry duties.
Remove loose pet hair before washing

The current Furify product directions specify cold machine washing with mild detergent and no bleach. Follow the detergent's dosing instructions for your machine and load. There is no need to add extra detergent simply because a pet sleeps on the bed.
Give the bedding room to move, following your washer's load guidance. A large sheet-and-duvet bundle may need separate loads. Check that anything washed together has compatible care instructions; wash a heavy throw separately if its label or your machine's capacity calls for it.

Dry fully before making or storing the bed
Tumble dry low, as directed on Furify's product pages. Follow the dryer's loading and lint-filter instructions, and check bulky folds before putting the bedding away. Make sure the pieces are fully dry before returning them to the bed or storing them in a cupboard.
Fold matching pieces together so that the fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillowcases are easy to find next time. If you want to iron or use another drying method, consult the care label rather than assuming that a setting suitable for another material will work here.
Make the routine practical for your household
